    Description

    A series of letters to a US Marine stationed in Iwakuni Japan (Marine Wing Support Group 17) from one or more Japanese friends he made while in that country during 1964-1966.  I believe from there he was deployed to Vietnam.  Some of the letters are addressed to him in the States after he returned.
    Some of the envelopes have been torn open on the sides or top. Some envelopes contain multiple letters or fragments.  Some scotch tape repairs on letters.
    Included with the letters are some stamps and souvenir dried flowers of Mount Aso, as well as a sketch (pictured).
